Dependent and Happy is the next album from Berlin-based house and techno artist Ricardo Villalobos. The album could loosely be describe as Villalobos' third full-length, although fabric 36, which was made up entirely of his own unreleased material, and Re: ECM, his double disc remix project produced in collaboration with Max Loderbauer, could feasibly be thought of in such terms. Like 2004's Thé Au Harem D'Archimède, Dependent and Happy will be released through Perlon, the Berlin-based imprint that has put-out in the region of ten Villalobos 12-inches since 1999. Villalobos' first full-length, Alcachofa, was voted RA's #1 album of the '00s in our writers' poll.

Dependent and Happy will be released on 5X12" in three parts and contain a total of 14 tracks, all of which are previously unreleased. It will also be available as a mixed CD, albeit with three less tracks. There is no word on an exact release date as yet, although distributors Word & Sound have been taking orders since July 11th.
