Forget Michael J Fox, Channel [V] is set to take viewers back to the future on March 17 with an all- encompassing four-hour special of the 2012 Future Music Festival. Back by popular demand, the half-day extravaganza that makes the Super Bowl look like an under-15s footy final, will hit screens just five days after the nation-wide tour wraps up.

Swedish House Mafia, New Order, Fatboy Slim, Skrillex, Friendly Fires and Gym Class Heroes will be but a few of the international acts to feature, Channel [V] providing viewers with an access-all-areas, first-hand account of the fun, fuss and antics. And no security staff “favours” required.

Like John West, only the finest performances of the Sydney show will be carefully selected for viewing and hearing pleasure. And the crowd buzz will be captured by Future Music Festival’s expert production team, using techniques and technology so advanced it’ll make Star Wars look like a western.

The special will feature unprecedented artist interaction and unique content, making for compelling viewing for even those who attended the festivals, the chance to re-live the best bits and catch up on the parts you missed makes this special not to be missed.

“The inaugural broadcast of the 2011 event was a defining moment in the festival’s development,” Future Music Festival director Brett Robinson said. “The ability to present the festival in this format and to give it significant reach and longevity for it to live well beyond the event itself was a considerable platform for the festival to become even further engrained in the social and musical culture of Australia.”

XYZnetworks Music Channels General Manager Shaun James added: "We are delighted to partner again in 2012 with Future Music Festival - this year’s broadcast is sure to be even bigger! FMF has firmly established itself as one of the country’s premier music festivals and Channel [V] remains committed to bringing our viewers the best of this year’s event.”

Mazda2 will be presenting the four hour special for the second year, as well as the Flamingo stage which is hosting an array of super stars including New Order, The Wombats, The Rapture, The Naked & The Famous and many many more!

Mazda2 is also bringing back the ultimate recharge zone to the festival; Mazda2 Servo: Refresh, Recharge, Relax. The Mazda2 Servo brings you all the best things in one place (just like the Mazda2). Only instead of features such as iPod input, Dynamic Stability Control and Traction Control System, you’ll find beats, lounges, free massages, giveaways and more. You can recharge yourself and even your phone courtesy of the Mazda2 Servo.

The 2012 broadcast will screen at 2pm and 10.30pm on Saturday, March 17. It’s the best indoor music festival in the world. And it’s on Channel [V].
