Currently sitting in pole position at the top of the ARIA charts with Wild Ones (a double platinum collaboration with Aussie artist Sia), Flo Rida has broken down barriers by uniting millions of fans of pop, hip-hop, and club music around the world, establishing himself as an international, genre-busting superstar in the process. Aside from Wild Ones, which has now been at the top of charts for four weeks, he has two other tracks in the ARIA charts right now – Good Feeling, which was a quadruple platinum, a Top 5 ARIA chart and airplay smash - and a guest spot on Taio Cruz’s summer smash Hangover, which has sold over 40 million singles worldwide.
There are few bigger names in music at the moment, and his appearance at Sidetracked offers a chance for local music fans to see Flo Rida up close and personal from the fast lane!

Flo Rida
Flo Rida is one of the most recognizable international artists today, having toured nearly every continent. The Miami-based rapper burst onto the scene in 2007 with his record-breaking hit “Low (feat. Grandmaster Flash
There are a lot of stories about the birth of jazz and the beginning of rock n’ roll, but hip-hop has founding fathers: one of them is DJ Grandmaster Flash. He was the first DJ to physically lay his hands on the vinyl and manipulate it in a backward, forward or counter clockwise motion. He invented the Quick Mix Theory, which included techniques such as the double-back, back-door, back-spin, and phasing. Basically, what we call a DJ today is a role that Flash invented. The genius behind iconic party tunes like The Message, Superappin, Freedom and You Know What Time It Is, Flash is living legend in every sense of the title.
Art vs Science

Stafford Brothers
If there’s a bigger name in Australian House music than the Stafford Brothers right now, then, hey, we’d like to know about it! Featuring the talents of Queensland siblings Chris and Matt Stafford, this dynamic duo are an Aussie musical tour de force that’s well on the way to genuine global superstardom. The Potbelleez
When Rolling Stone’s Tim Duggan proclaimed The Potbelleez to be the fastest rising stars of the dance scene in 2007 he could not have foreseen how quickly this Sydney based dancefloor devastating live act would explode across the country. The Potbelleez first major single "Don't Hold Back" spent an incredible 17 weeks at 1 ARIA Dance Chart in 2008, selling Platinum in excess of 100,000 copies. This undisputed hands in the air anthem earned the band 3 ARIA nominations and was named "1 Most Played Australian Song on TV and Radio" in 2008. Amidst the excitement of their massive debut single the band managed to produce an exceptional follow up single ‘Are You With Me’ which hit the ground running as Australian radio’s 1 Most Added Song to national playlists. This track was an instant hit on the ARIA Charts peaking at 15 and going Gold with sales over 50,000. Timmy Trumpet
Timmy is the only DJ / Instrumentalist to make the ITM Top 10 DJ’s Australia wide, which has landed him residencies at clubs and festivals all over Australia as well as multiple worldwide tours, including performances at MIAMI’S WMC, IBIZA’S PACHA & LONDON’S MINISTRY OF SOUND. Winning ‘Young Musician of the Year’ at age 13, and touring the world playing Jazz at 14, Timmy is no stranger to the lime light. Now at 27, he has supported and played alongside acts like ARMIN VAN BUUREN, CARL COX, FEDDE LE GRAND, DIZZEE RASCAL, FATBOY SLIM and the STAFFORD BROTHERS just to name a few. In fact, many believe Timmy has taken the art of DJing to new heights and stamped his name as arguably one of world’s best DJ /Instrumentalists.
Ruby Rose
Ruby Rose Langenheim landed her first gig in the public eye in 2007 as a VJ for MTV; a role which not only graced her with an ASTRA award for ‘favourite female’ but also the backing of an entire generation of young adults desperate for a role model that didn’t fit the mould, and definitely didn’t want to. She then appeared as a panellist on the Network Ten’s 7pm Project, Guest Judge and Co-host of the Australia’s Next Top Model Finale, before being given her own shows Ultimate School Musical and MTV STYLE. The fashion icon also turned fashion designer with a clothing line Milk&Honey and a soon to be released collaboration collection with street footwear brand Gallaz. As a DJ, Ruby rose plays at the hottest clubs, parties and festivals around the world. She’s taken her signature mixes to renowned LA club XIV, put it on wax with a compilation album with Grant Smillie that debuted at number ten on the ARIA charts. Grant Smillie
Grant Smillie ticks all the boxes. Host of Australia’s biggest dance radio show ‘Novanation’ on the Nova network nationally, he also has collected 2 ARIA Awards with his dance outfit TV ROCK and is co-owner of Neon Records one of the most successful dance labels in the country. As one half of TV ROCK (alongside compatriot Ivan Gough) the duo broke all records in Australia- not only scooping 2 ARIA awards also spending the longest time inside the top 10 charts in history. He Co-wrote ‘Release Me’ for Zoe Badwi which spent 7 weeks in a row at #1 on the ARIA club charts. TV ROCK have also achieved 8 #1 ARIA club chart positions for their remixes and have remixed the likes of Groove Armada, Armand Van Helden, Dirty South Axwell, Fedde Le Grand and Paul Van Dyk to name but a few.
